Victoria Burch 

Victoria Burch is a Visual Artist and Art & Design practitioner.

Having attended Art College upon leaving school, Victoria worked in the design industry as a Graphic Designer for twenty-five years. In 2012, Victoria became a qualified teacher and works part time as an Art & Design Course leader for Access to HE Art & Design at South Essex College. Previous teaching experience also includes Performing Arts College; East 15 at Essex University. 

 

Victoria is an artist who is deeply connected to her materials and likes to work with recyclable ephemera such as card, newsprint and anything that provides a surface on which to paint, draw or print. Matters of the environment and sustainability are often her starting points and this is further informed by her studio location near the coastal town of Leigh on Sea where migrating birds, the local community and the cleanliness of our shores, all feature in Victoria's work.

 

Victoria’s practice incorporates traditional fine art techniques such as; drawing, painting, sculpture, printmaking and casting and installation work, with a nod towards contemporary art.
