The extraordinary experience of studying for a degree in art, brings with it the unexpected bonus of new friends and a comradery amongst peers in your year group - worth its weight in gold. The support of special friendships made, is invaluable to say the least, whether it takes the form of a counselling session at lunch time, the freedom to discuss problems extrinsic to study such as; coping with the deluge of children and grandchildren, balancing jobs with study, making time to support elderly relatives amidst a busy schedule or exercising the demons of life’s hurdles by donning a wig and being game for a laugh.
There are many things that can be overcome with a sense of humour and this is essence of the group to which I refer. The idea that everyone has a ‘life’ play list is central to this film – I would first like to thank Siobhan for being such a great sport and for being persuaded to take part in this film, but also for adding to the creative process through out.
